Bulky waste generated due to damage caused by heavy rain may be eligible for a fee exemption.
Since applications cannot be submitted via the internet, please contact your local sanitation office directly.

Setagaya City is committed to the reuse of oversized garbage to achieve a sustainable society. Please note that City office staff may pick items that are still usable and handle them as Items for Reuse whenever possible, even if disposed as oversized garbage. Garbage that the city does not collect

Please check Garbage that cannot be collected by the city.
・Air conditioner, washing machine, TV, refrigerator, freezer, or clothes dryer are subject to Home Appliance Recycling Act and will not be collected as oversized garbage.
・PC is subject to Act for Promoting Effective Use of Resources and will not be collected as oversized garbage.
・Garbage taken out that is business-related cannot be collected.

・Take out by 8 AM on the same day of collection.
・We may contact you about the collection day via phone or notification slip at your door.

Online payment for oversized garbage disposal fees is now available when applying through the website.
Payment methods are credit card and PayPay.
(Please note that PayPay is not yet available due to delays in preparation, and is expected to be usable from mid-October. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.)

Please pay the oversized garbage disposal fee via online payment. To learn more about online payment, Click here
Please prepare a piece of paper that is at least 10 cm by 10 cm (memo pad, colored paper, flyer, etc.).
This is a template （PDF）. You can also print it out on A4-sized paper and use it.
Please write your 'Collection Date' and 'Reception Number or Name' big and easy to see with a permanent marker.
Please attach the paper firmly to all four sides with packing tape or cellophane tape on each oversized garbage where it is easy to see.

We will not collect items that do not have the paper or are missing necessary information.
If you forget to place your oversized garbage out for collection, or for any other reasons it is not collected, the handling fee will be automatically refunded two weeks after the collection date.
If you select online payment, no receipt will be issued. If you need a receipt, please purchase Oversized Garbage Disposal Stickers.
